The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith was a fun read about a lady in Botswana who opens a detective agency with her inheritance money. It gives a little taste of her African world, and several cases she must solve. I love detective stories, but this isn't your typical detective story. It wasn't a book where you tried to race to solve the case before she does, but one where you got a look at the way she works as a detective. Nothing deep, but definitely a quick, fun read. (4/5)
