Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

I don't remember where I first found this recipe...but it is yummy and simple. The original recipe didn't have the smoked sausage...but I decided to add it after a friend brought macaroni and cheese with smoked sausage when Sarah was born. We all liked the addition!


  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lb. grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. macaroni
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg. smoked sausage


  1. Cook macaroni, drain, put in crock pot.
  2. Add cheese, reserving one cup, and add butter
  3. Mix well.
  4. Beat eggs. Add milk, salt and pepper.
  5. Add to macaroni and mix well.
  6. Add in cut up sausage. Mix well.
  7. Spread remaining 1 cup cheese on top.
  8. Cook on low 3 hours.

  3. I agree with Megan on having the E. milk and not knowing what I should do with it!! I think I will make this Wednesday night!! Thanks for the recipe...Love it!! FYI: I think I am adding Ham to ours..I have some on hand that is already defrosted..

  4. MMM....the sausage would kind of make it taste like a smokey link pie I bet!! Yummmyyy! Some of my favorite recipies were ones I borrowed after someone made it for me when a baby was born! I'm getting into a rut these days, Guess it's time for another baby! LOL Just Kidding!!!
