Loving My Husband Friday

Loving My Husband Friday is for taking the time to focus on the positives of marriage. A time to build up your marriage and your spouse. Focus on something you love about your husband, something he did to encourage you this week, or just a tip on how to keep your marriage strong. Let your husband know you're bragging on him...everyone loves praise and accolades. Try to spend the rest of your week focusing on all the great traits of your spouse...especially when your tempted to focus on the bad! And don't forget to pray for your husband and marriage as you write your post.

Add a link to your post to Mr. Linky. Then pray for the marriages of the others who post, and give each other a little encouragement to keep our marriages strong!

I am so thankful that my husband enjoys spending time with us. He rarely wants to go do his own thing...but would prefer doing things with me and the kids.

  1. Shannon, I used your banner for my blog for Loving your husband Friday. But, It isn't linking back to your blog when you click the banner...hmmm...I wonder if I will ever figure all this stuff out. So, I just wrote out your link! Glad you are doing this...I need to focus on Rob more, and this is helping me to take time to think more about it. God Bless!

  2. I love this idea! It's so much better than hearing about people griping about their husbands. We need to build up our spouses, not tear them down.

  3. My husband never complains about going to the grocery store with me. I know I only have two kids but even with just one they tend to be a bit of a distraction when you are trying to scope out a deal - so he comes to help keep them entertained. I know he would rather just stay home with the girls and have me go by myself - but I hate shopping alone and he is always offering to go with me after dinner. Thank you for your prayers! It is so nice to focus on the positives of our marriage in a world so focused on the negative.

  4. Elizabeth - here is how I get a banner to connect directly to the link - this may not be the right way but it USUALLY works for me....
Once you have posted the banner on your "new post" I click save and then go back to the site I copied the banner from and right click on the title for that particular blog (ex. Loving My Husband Friday NOT Peer Review) and choose "copy link location" then I go back to my blog to my post and click edit on the post where the picture was at and I click on the picture one time (to highlight it) then I push - at the same time - Ctrl+Shift+A - this little box comes up where you can insert a web address. Just click your curser in this box then "paste" and then okay. This usually works for me. You can also just highlight a word in your post and do the same thing - ex. if you want to say click "here" to connect to another site - you could highlight "here" and do the whole ctrl+shift+a thing. To make sure "preview" your post first and it should let you try it. Hope this helps and is not to confusing. Mike is pretty good at fixing computers so I am brave and do a lot of trial clicks because I know that he can fix anything I mess up - lol!
