Works for Me Wednesday - Stainless Steel Water Bottles

This week is the frugal edition of Works for Me Wednesday. My frugal tip is the use of Stainless Steel Water Bottles. Bottled water is expensive. Other types of beverages are even more expensive. Instead, we use stainless steel water bottles. The kids think they are fun to drink out of, so they drink water instead of the more expensive drinks. I drink mostly water anyway, but this prevents me from using store-bought water bottles when we are out and about. Just put the lid on my bottle and I'm ready to go!

There are expensive water bottles, but I have found less expensive options. I bought my larger bottles at Walgreens for 3/$10. I bought them last year, but I've seen them on sale several times already this year for that price. The Pink 16oz Stainless Steel Reusable Water Bottle w/ Hiking Clip I bought at Amazon for $4.99. I wanted to be able to get a different color for each kid, so they could keep them separate and Walgreen's only carries 2 colors. I gave my kids each one for Easter this year. They save money, are good for your health and the environment, and are fun to drink out of!

Some of our water bottles without their lids. I keep the lids out of reach and only use them when we are going out. Otherwise they would come up missing!
