In His Word Wednesday

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

James 1:19-20

I've been very tired the last week or so.  When I'm tired I tend to have angry outbursts with the kids.  (Being tired is not an excuse!  Especially when I know that fatigue has this effect on me).   I'm going to be repeating these verses often . . . especially in the midst of their naughtiness!

Visit Megan at Focusing on the Bible, family and the great Deals for more encouragement in God's word.

  1. I can relate to that. Funny thing is...I read those verses this morning also, to remind myself. I chose the other passage that I read for my IWW. I'll pray for both of us that we are slow to anger today with our kids especially!!
