I want to thank you all for the prayers you've been sending up for my Mother-in-law. She has seen some improvements - then some set backs - then some improvements - and so on. They removed her gall bladder last week hoping it was the main source of her infections. It seems to have helped, as her infection markers have decreased . . . although she had another fever yesterday, so another infection may be coming on. She had some signs of increased brain activity over the last 3 weeks that have given us hope that her brain may be O.K. . . . although the doctors do not seem to be as encouraged as we are. Several different doctors over the last several weeks have suggested that they do not think she is going to get better.
Our prayer is still for complete healing. We have seen so many miracles in the last 2 and a half months. . . and we believe God can still perform more. But, to be honest, we are starting lose heart. Please pray for a complete recovery for her - and for our family as we deal with the roller coaster of emotions. And please pray for my father-in-law. He has been such a devoted husband through this whole ordeal. Through his love he has shown everyone a picture of loving 'through sickness and in health'. Pray for continued strength for him.
