Last month I tried out OAMC (once a month cooking).   It was great!  We ate healthy, home cooked meals without having to put hours of work in each day.   I decided that I would definitely keep it up!  Today I cooked 21 meals for our freezer.   I had 2 meals left over from last month (we went to my Father-in-law's house for a couple of days), so I have 23 meals in the freezer.  I make crock pot meals on Sunday's and have a few other non-freezer meals worked into the menu.

Here's the meals I made today (either the whole meal or the main components):

  • Ham & Cheese Stromboli
  • Pizza Crusts
  • Enchiladas
  • Chicken Pot Pie
  • Chicken Curry Casserole
  • Chicken 'n' noodles
  • Chicken soft tacos
  • Roast Beef Burritos
  • 3 packages Marinated Chicken Breasts (for grilling)
  • Marinated Pork chops
  • Pork stirfry
  • 3 Cavatinis
  • Crunchy Cheeseroni
  • Tacos
  • Johnny Marzetti
  • Chicken Tortilla Soup
  • Meatballs

A few of the marinated meats and 2 of the cavatinis will go on next months menu.

Tomorrow I just need to make up a few more batches of bread dough.  These are so handy to have in the freezer - you can pull them out to make cinnamon rolls or  dinner rolls.  I also am going to mix a homemade bisquick mix.   Then . . . I can relax!
