The kids have been enjoying TV and video games (which are only allowed on the weekend during the school year) and enjoying the warm weather. I've been pre-reading the boys' readers for next year. I also made my menu for the first six weeks of school and started planning my once-a-month cooking day.
Monday we had a nice, relaxing holiday. We spent the morning at our town park ... enjoying the splash pad, a picnic and the playground. Then, after a hot walk home, we spent the afternoon relaxing. Then Aaron grilled yummy steak for supper!
Brownies, Ice Cream and Strawberries for dessert. Yummy!
Wednesday, the church finally got new chairs (they were ordered months and months ago). We thought they were coming on Thursday, so we were taken a bit by surprise. We spent the afternoon, along with many others, unpackaging chairs and getting them set up. They look so nice and are much more comfy than our old ones!!!
The end of the week was spent working in the yard. We still have lots of work to do as we are still dealing with the effects of our addition last year. Hopefully by the end of the summer, we'll have it looking presentable.
It doesn't look like a very busy week, but it sure felt like one! I still have some big cleaning projects I want to do ... and of course all of my school planning and organization. And, I'd like to have some fun as well! I'm sure the next six weeks will feel like a whirlwind!
