While planning Alex's first birthday sock monkey party, I came across an adorable iron on. I thought it would be perfect for him to wear for his party. The only problem was that I didn't order it until about a week before the party and didn't notice that they take several weeks to ship.
Consequently, the iron on arrived after the party. Last week I finally got it on a onesie, and took a few pictures. Alex is getting more and more difficult to photograph because he never stays still! But, here he is ... commemorating his first birthday!
I bought the iron on applique form BigBlackDogDesigns on etsy.

I've seen a lot of family silhouettes (thanks to Pinterest) online, so I decided to make my own simple. uncomplicated version. I took all the kids' profile pictures (and used a picture I had of Aaron and I) and then went into picnik and used the neon effect. A little more whimsical than the traditional silhouette, and yet it still freezes those little profiles in time.

A little over a week ago, we joined my sister and her kids and my Mom for a trip to Science Central. I only had my phone camera with me, but here are a few snapshots I got. The kids spent most of their time in the 'tip room.' I said we need to get Pa and Uncle Shawn to build one to keep them occupied!
